‘Orukkam’ aka ‘The Prep’

The clock’s ticking and just like that it’s again prep time, time for lunch. She never sat idle for a second. Like a magician her hands turned to a wand and started creating wonders. I took it, thinking she didn’t see. But now I know what her smile was all about. Mothers all around the world seems to have a unique DNA, juggling in between the million tasks, the momentum they keep up in life, to care for their beloved is a never ending process that often not acknowledged. Their joy seems to be in those itsy bitsy moments of naughtiness of their child while making sure they have fun. ‘Orukkam’ is a depiction of a childhood memory of a kid reminiscing the beautiful moments they spend with their mother as a child.
