A tradition that has survived through oral narratives, the craft of the Lambani community is their way of expressing gratitude to their culture – more than just a beautiful piece of art. It is their way of life, woven together by layers of tales from generations. Though the craft has been modernized, its values and core beliefs remain intact. ‘Badi Kothli’ is one such part of their rich heritage: a large embroidered sack made specifically for wedding rituals, typically given by the bride’s family with a set of clothes for both the bride and groom.
